Mr. Lei joined Kingsoft Corporation, Ltd. in 1992 and was appointed as the General Manager in 1998. Led by Mr. Lei Jun, Kingsoft was listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong on Oct 9th, 2007. In December 2007, Mr. Lei relinquished his position as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer and President of the company, but remained as an executive director and Vice Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Lei was Co-Founder and Chairman of Joyo.com, which was founded in April 2000 and sold to Amazon.com in 2004. In Dec. 2006, Mr. Lei has invested UCWEB as an angel investor. Mr. Lei has received many honors including being named the Chinese Internet Innovator, the best Chinese Annual Angel Investor, one of the Business Leaders with Influence in the next 30 years, the Most Contributive Leader in the Software Industry, and one of the Elite People in Chinese Internet Industry.
Dave McClure
Mr. McClure is a geek, startup investor, former software developer & entrepreneur, tech blogger, marketing nerd, and overall fan of entrepreneurship. He lived in Silicon Valley for over 20 years and loved every minute of it. He currently runs an internet seed fund and startup incubator program in Silicon Valley called 500 Startups which has made investments in more than 150 companies as of June 2011.
Previously, he started and managed the FF Angel early-stage investment program for Founders Fund in 2008, and also managed the Facebook fbFund incubator program in 2009. After leaving PayPal in 2004, he made over a dozen startup investments as an angel investor, including Mint.com where he was an advisor & consultant, and which was later acquired by Intuit in 2009 for $170M.
He advises and invests in geeks and entrepreneurs creating new consumer & small business internet startups. His specialty is helping startups improve product and marketing efforts by emphasizing customer development, an iterative approach, and the collection and measurement of simple, actionable metrics.
